The USAF 1951 resolution board is a micro-optical resolution test device made in accordance with the U.S. Air Force H1L-STD-150A standard.
The standard was formulated by the U.S. Air Force in 1951. It is widely used to test the resolution of optical imaging systems,such as microscopes,cameras and image scanners.
The test board is composed of three rectangles (elements) horizontally and vertically,and the sizes are arranged in an orderly manner from large to small,and are accurately listed by grade.
The imaging system can handle other minimum lines (corresponding to the maximum line pair of groups),which is the maximum sub-office capacity of the system.
